Fires are more likely to occur in a restaurant than nearly any other kind of business. Restaurant fire suppression systems offer a unique way of suppressing a fire quickly and efficiently.
The chemical discharge nozzles are located above the cooking appliances as well as in the exhaust canopy, plenum and duct. These location specific nozzles discharge wet chemical in specific spray patterns when the fire system is activated.
The wet chemical is stored either in self-contained pressurized cylinders or at atmospheric pressure with external pressurized cartridges. These cylinders come in a variety of sizes to accommodate all commercial kitchen applications.
The wet chemical is an alkaline solution that saponifies upon contact with vegetable or animal fats. This layer of foam separates the fuel from the fire, stopping the spread and also reducing the temperature of the cooking medium.
The automatic wet chemical fire suppression system has two methods of activation: automatic via temperature sensitive components and manual via physical pull stations.

System performance is enhanced with our low pH level agent which not only extinguishes the fire quickly but cleans up easily without causing corrosion of appliances.
As the agent is sprayed in fine droplets (atomized) onto an appliance grease fire, it provides excellent flame knock-down, surface-cooling, and fire-securing capabilities. When the agent reacts with the hot grease, it forms a layer of foam on the surface of the fat.
This soap-like blanket of foam acts as an insulator between the hot grease and the atmosphere, helping to prevent flammable vapors from escaping and reducing the chance for flame re-ignition.
