VEHICLE SUPPRESSION SYSTEMS
Large mobile specialty vehicles such as equipment used in the mining and energy industry represent one of the highest risks of fire: They mostly operate non-stop, use many flammable liquids for their operation, generate considerable heat when in use and can be in remote areas limiting access in case of a fire.
Safety First distributes, installs and services most types of systems including Kidde Wolfpack and Ansul A101 systems.
Wolfpack uses a modular concept which places critical components after a detailed hazard analysis is carried out. Kidde’s KVS Systems combine immediate detection coupled with single or dual agent configurations to better fit the needs of the individual customers.
The A101 & LVS systems are an automatic and/or manual fire suppression system. A101 uses foray dry chemical agent for Class A, B & C fires. LVS is an engineered fire suppression liquid with exceptional cooling & coverage properties. These systems are designed for use on large, off-road type construction & mining equipment.
Designed specifically for high hazard industry needs, this innovative system includes a driver escape system that saturates the driver in fire retardant before he or she exits the vehicle.
When using a “dual agent” system, which has both a liquid and a dry chemical system deployed, the suppression of fire is fast & thorough which cools superheated engine surfaces significantly.
OFF ROAD VEHICLE SUPPRESSION
Designed to provide maximum protection for both the driver and machine. With the high cost of today’s equipment, it is imperative that the industry protect their employees & assets with a proven fire suppression system.
